Title: Fruit Crisp

3cApples, cooking; peeled cored; and sliced
3cPears; peeled, cored; sliced
1tbLemon juice
5tbMargarine; nondairy
1cFlour, pastry; whole wheat
2/3cOats; rolled
1/2cSugar; brown or
1/2cMaple syrup granules
1tsCinnamon; ground
1/4tsNutmeg; freshly ground
1/2cWalnuts; coarsely chopped

Place fruit in an 8 1/2-inch round glass dish. Sprinkle wiht lemon juice.

In a large bowl, cut butte into flour with a pastry cutter. Stir in remaining ingredients. Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples and pears. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 11 to 13 minutes, or until fruit is tender, rotating twice. Let stand until cool enough to serve. Serves 6-8.
